Susan Tennison has over 30 years of experience in information resource planning and quality assurance. At SPI, Susan specializes in analyzing governmental planning documents, legislative requests and approved budgets for information on future initiatives and uses her extensive experience working at various state agencies to glean opportunities for SPI clients.

Susan has an extensive history of managing quality assurance on large projects. At the Legislative Budget Board (LBB), Susan supervised the Major Information Systems Group, which reviewed, analyzed and approved biennial automation plans for all state agencies and universities. She also represented the LBB on the Quality Assurance Team that reviewed all major state information resource projects that had a total cost of over $1 million.

In her role on the Quality Assurance Team, Susan supervised the Department of Public Safety's expenditures on information resources for fiscal 1998-99. Other major projects she monitored include: the Texas Department of Transportation's Registration and Titling System and the Office of Court Administration's statewide implementation of case management automation.

Susan was responsible for the development of the Quality Assurance Guidelines for Major Information Resources Projects for all state agencies, and coordinated periodic updates of the guidelines after they were implemented.

Prior to her work with the LBB, she worked at the Department of Information Resources for more than nine years, reviewing automation plans and procurements.

Susan began her career as a programmer of data processing systems, working her way up through the ranks to programmer analyst and manager.

She received a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin and has worked on a master's in business administration at Southwest Texas State University.
