Reagan Weil joined the SPI team with a diversified background in public affairs. He has had experience at both the state and national levels of government and is known for his entrepreneurial thinking and innovative approaches to problem solving.
Reagan holds a Masters degree from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas. He also has a wealth of practical on-the-job experience in government and public affairs. Reagan gained valuable insight and experience working in Washington D.C. in the office of Senator Phil Gramm. In this position, he was responsible for responding to constituent calls and requests and dealt with government issues on a daily basis.
He also worked in Washington D.C. for the Vinson & Elkins law firm. Reagan was responsible for covering committee hearings and reporting back to the firm's attorneys. Much of his legislative work was focused on healthcare issues. He was responsible for covering the House Energy and Commerce Committee on Medicare reform, HCFA, Patient's Privacy Regulations, and HIPAA. He also worked other multi state issues while with the law firm.
Reagan is conversational in Spanish and gained international experience studying in several countries. He holds numerous leadership awards and a B.A. in International Studies from Austin College in Sherman, TX, where he was a collegiate athlete.
