Ray Laughter

Ray Laughter brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the SPI Consulting Team.  He can point to decades of experience in working and strategizing with government officials and also with business leaders. During the early years of his career, Ray was a successful businessman who developed strong friendships and relationships with the business community.

In the latter part of his career, Ray served as vice chancellor for external affairs for the Lone Star College System, one of the largest community colleges in the country. He established networks, made new friends and built relationships with people working in higher education, economic development, financial institutions and almost every industry sector. While serving at Lone Star, Ray also honed his marketing, communications and government affairs skills and established numerous programs relating to economic development. He understands the importance of collaboration and innovation and is eager to help partner public and private sector leaders for the good of the state.

Ray holds both a bachelor’s degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Houston.
