New York – Ben Swanson has been selected as the next city administrator for the city of Beacon. Swanson has served with the city since 2021, most recently as Beacon’s first deputy city administrator, a role created in part to support succession planning for the position. In his new role, he will oversee day-to-day municipal operations, budget development, labor negotiations, and implementation of city initiatives and infrastructure projects.

California – Gerry Beaudin has been appointed city manager for the city of Alameda and is expected to begin the role on June 30. Beaudin currently serves as city manager for the city of Pleasanton and concurrently as executive director of the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Joint Powers Authority. He brings more than 23 years of public management experience.

Ohio – Joshua Hartbarger has been appointed city administrator for the city of Maumee, effective June 1. Hartbarger currently serves as deputy administrator and chief operations officer for the Village of Whitehouse. In his new role, he will oversee municipal operations and administrative functions for the city.

Wisconsin – Daniel Ortiz Hernandez has been unanimously approved as the next city manager for the city of Beloit and is scheduled to begin June 22. In his new role, he will oversee city operations, budgeting, and strategic initiatives as Beloit prepares for major infrastructure projects and anticipated economic growth tied to the upcoming Ho-Chunk Casino development.

West Virginia – Aimee Comer has been appointed city manager for the city of Salem. Comer most recently served as executive director of the Clarksburg Visitors Bureau and brings more than 15 years of experience in marketing, public relations, fundraising, and community development. In her new role, she will oversee city operations and lead infrastructure and community projects, including utility upgrades, sidewalk repairs, and bridge improvements.

California – Jonathan Nicks has been appointed city manager for the city of Indio. Nicks previously served as assistant city manager after joining the city in 2024 and brings more than two decades of local government experience. In his new role, he will oversee city operations and continue leading major initiatives including Indio’s strategic planning efforts, civic campus development, police headquarters planning, and capital improvement projects.

Arizona – Eric Bejarano has been selected as the next city manager for the city of Safford. Bejarano currently serves as assistant city manager and has been acting as interim city manager since December following the departure of former City Manager John Cassella. In his new role, he will oversee municipal operations, infrastructure projects, budgeting, and community development initiatives for the city.

North Carolina – Randy Martin has been unanimously selected as the full-time city manager for Morehead City. Martin began serving as interim city manager on May 1 and previously led the city as manager from 1995 to 2012. He brings more than 40 years of local government leadership experience, including recent interim management roles in Havelock and Emerald Isle, and will oversee municipal operations, strategic planning, and community development initiatives for the city.
