We also are continuing to add to our stable of veteran researchers and analysts as we expand our national research team to work in other states. And we have "boots on the ground" in some other states to assist our clients when business opportunities arise outside of Texas.
We also have added a Special Services division that includes grant writers, communication experts, keynote speakers, event planners and meeting facilitators.
Last night, we held our Open House to show off our new offices and celebrate our growth as a company. We thank our many friends who attended, and who have contributed to our growth over the years. We look forward to continuing those relationships in the future.
Last week's edition of the Texas Government Insider was the first of the new decade...and marked our eighth year of publishing our weekly newsletter featuring state and local government news. The acceptance of our newsletter and its widespread readership has amazed us over the years. Rarely do we introduce ourselves as being from SPI that we don't hear, "Oh, you're the publishers of the Texas Government Insider."
And last year, we celebrated another publishing milestone, as SPI kicked off the inaugural edition of a weekly national newsletter, the State & Local Government Pipeline. It features national business and contracting opportunities throughout the country. The response from throughout the United States has been rewarding.
It's been an amazing first 15 years at SPI and we are looking forward to our continued growth. We've had a lot of help along the way and for that we have many friends to thank. If you couldn't make it to the Open House, drop by anytime. Friends are always welcome.
