Prezas, an education veteran, most recently served as a principal for Sanders Elementary School and Martin Middle School before joining the Corpus Christi Independent School District. He brings experience in leadership and public school district operations to the role with Pleasanton ISD.
Fate hires new economic development director
The city of Fate has announced the hiring of Emily Goodrum as the city’s next economic development director, effective Feb. 24.

Goodrum brings experience in complex revitalization projects, retail developments and placemaking, contributing the Fate’s long-term goals. The University of Texas at Austin grad will assist the city with various development efforts, including the Lafayette Crossing development and the Fate Station Park redevelopment.
Richland Hills names new city manager
The city of Richland Hills has announced Jason Moore as its new city manager, officially taking office earlier this week.

Moore will return to the city after spending several years working as the executive director for the Mansfield Economic Development Corporation. He brings experience in strategic planning, major developments and marketing strategies. With Richland Hills, he will guide the city’s future development efforts in coordination with other city officials.
Waco announces new chief economic development officer
The city of Waco has announced the appointment of Kent George as the city’s chief economic development officer.

George previously served as the interim director since 2024 and director from 2021 to 2023. He brings more than two decades of experience to the role, including municipal developments and capital planning. In Waco, he will lead the city’s efforts to improve economic conditions and future developments.
Department of Public Safety announces leadership changes
The Texas Department of Public Safety has announced two leadership changes following the retirement of Office of Inspector General (OIG) Assistant Chief James Lopez.

Adam Kinslow and Roland D. Luna have been promoted from within DPS. Kinslow will assume the role of assistant chief for the OIG, previously serving as DPS’ equal employment opportunity officer. Luna will oversee regulatory and permitting activities as the assistant chief of the regulatory services division, previously serving as deputy executive director for the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles.
