Goose Creek CISD (GCISD) is planning to open solicitations in 10 to 12 months on two projects that are part of the second phase of its $335 million 2019 bond program.
The district is planning a 25,000-square-foot fieldhouse for its existing Stallworth Stadium. The fieldhouse will feature home and visitor locker rooms, training and dressing rooms, showers, and a workout facility.

It also will serve as the new home for the district’s athletics department and contain office space, a conference room, and storage space.

Estimated construction cost is $7 million. The district’s goal is to open the facility for the 2023 football season.

GCISD also is determining future plans for the fine arts space at Robert E. Lee High School. Program managers said the district is considering a possible renovation and expansion of existing space or demolishing the current facility and building a new structure.

Either option would feature about 20,000 square feet for a new band hall, choir and orchestra rooms, a dance studio, and possibly a new theater workshop for prop construction.

The district is aiming for an August 2022 opening of the estimated $7 million fine arts facility.
