Lindale names new municipal leader
Mike Murray has been appointed city manager for the city of Lindale, effective Aug. 24.
Murray holds a master’s degree from the University of Texas at Tyler and a bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. He previously served as city manager for Bridgeport and Rusk and will oversee municipal operations, infrastructure, economic development and implementation of city council priorities.
Port of Corpus Christi unveils new CCO
Yudi Takizawa has been named chief commercial officer for the Port of Corpus Christi.
He previously served as the port’s director of commercial and business development and has more than 20 years of industry experience. Takizawa will oversee commercial development, real estate, business intelligence, logistics and transportation functions.
UT System gains new Executive Vice Chancellor, COO
Terry Hull has been appointed executive vice chancellor and chief operating officer for The University of Texas System.
Hull holds a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin and previously served as the UT System’s chief financial officer. He will oversee systemwide operations, finance and strategic administrative functions.
New fire chief sworn in for West University Place
Aaron Rosenfield has been appointed fire chief for West University Place.
Rosenfield previously served as interim fire chief and has held roles as firefighter, paramedic, lieutenant and assistant chief/fire marshal since joining the department in 2017. He will lead fire and emergency medical operations and oversee the department’s administration and emergency management functions.
San Antonio ISD selects new superintendent
Adrian Bustillos has been appointed superintendent of San Antonio ISD, effective in August.
He holds degrees in biological science, school leadership, and curriculum and instruction and previously served as Aldine ISD’s chief transformation officer. Bustillos will lead district operations, academic improvement, innovative school models and efforts to expand student opportunities.
New city manager named in Aransas Pass
Jim R. Winkelmann has been appointed city manager for Aransas Pass, effective Aug. 3.
He previously served as Comanche’s city administrator and municipal judge and has more than 25 years of finance and public administration experience. Winkelmann will oversee daily operations, municipal services and implementation of city council goals and priorities.
