Dallas unveils government affairs strategy with new director

The city of Dallas has appointed Eric Dominguez as director of government affairs.

Dominguez brings more than 20 years of experience in public policy and legislative advocacy and most recently served as director of legislative affairs for IDEA Public Schools. In his new role, he will lead the city’s intergovernmental relations strategy, coordinating with officials to advance policy priorities. 

Spring ISD hires financial expert as chief of business services

Spring Independent School District (SISD) has appointed Heather Wilson as its new chief of business services, bringing financial leadership experience from her previous role as Chief Financial Officer for College Station ISD.

In this executive position, Wilson will oversee budgeting, facilities, transportation, and financial operations, helping the district address budget challenges and strengthen long-term fiscal planning.

Beaumont ISD names new superintendent following state intervention

The Texas Education Agency named Sandi Massey as Superintendent of Beaumont Independent School District in mid-April 2026 as part of a broader governance overhaul that included appointing a board of managers.

Joining the district, Massey will lead district operations and academic improvement efforts under state oversight, taking on one of the most high-impact K-12 leadership roles in Texas.

New chief of police named in Marble Falls

The city of Marble Falls has selected Trisha Ratliff as its next chief of police, following the retirement announcement of longtime Chief Glenn Hanson.

Ratliff, who currently serves as assistant chief, will officially assume the role on June 29. With nearly two decades of service in the department, Ratliff’s appointment reflects a strategic internal promotion aimed at maintaining continuity and strengthening public safety leadership in the growing Central Texas community.

Lockhart appoints new leader as PIO

  The city of Lockhart has appointed Roger Heaney to serve as its new public information officer.

Heaney most recently served as director of communications and marketing for the City of Pflugerville. In his new role, he will lead the city’s communications strategy, public engagement efforts, and information accessibility initiatives.
