It seems to be an appropriate time to provide a quick update for our friends and loyal subscribers about our progress at Strategic Partnerships Inc. (SPI).

We have spent the last few years preparing to expand into other states with existing clients and numerous new clients. The work began some time ago, but it is all happening at a rapid pace. We have been stretched considerably over the past few months, but, fortunately, it is going well.

We now offer the same Texas services in a dozen other states with the help of consultants and partners we’ve selected and engaged. The new consultants in other states will work very closely with the SPI Team of consultants, researchers, and governmental relations experts in Texas. Additionally, as is the norm in Texas, we are providing services at every jurisdictional level of government in the new states.

As most of our friends and business partners know, we are not a lobby firm. Our business model provides government relations, but our focus is on increasing revenues for clients. We are a highly specialized business development firm that specializes in government marketplaces. We work in a multi-trillion dollar marketplace, and we’ve been doing it for the past 25 years.

The researchers at SPI have provided early identification of upcoming opportunities, market analysis, competitor intelligence, and customized research for all 50 states for a number of years, so the expansion is not a big step for them. We plan to hire new research staff to contribute to their efforts.

Currently, we have job openings posted and we are receiving resumes daily. We hope to announce more additions to our pool of talent soon.

Finally, several of our new clients in recent months have stretched us even more as we’ve committed to new service offerings. We are now identifying potential acquisition targets in some states for companies interested in having a local presence. We are also developing lots of market analysis reports, planning ‘Go-To-Market’ strategies, and working on targeted marketing and communication outreach initiatives. We have been involved in public sector sales training, and we are providing assistance to companies moving into the government marketplace for the first time.

We have plenty of work to do in spite of the specter of COVID-19. We are thankful for our public-sector friends, our private-sector clients and colleagues, and the opportunities we see that will allow us to play a part in restoring the economy and developing new collaborative initiatives in the future.
