Massachusetts – Thomas Bernard has been selected as Williamsburg’s next town administrator. Bernard previously served as mayor of North Adams, where he led the city for two terms from 2017 through 2021. He most recently served as president and CEO of a regional nonprofit organization. Bernard began his three-year term on April 6 following a unanimous Select Board vote.
Pennsylvania – Aidan Piper has been appointed deputy communications director for the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. Piper recently announced the transition into the role, where he will support communications efforts across the agency’s economic development initiatives, including business growth, tourism and broadband programs.
Minnesota – Josh Milow has been appointed as the next county administrator for Blue Earth County. Milow currently serves as deputy county administrator, where he supports county operations and works with department leadership and the County Board. He previously served as community corrections director, overseeing supervision, rehabilitation and public safety programs.
New Mexico – Chad Matheson has been named president and CEO of a regional economic alliance serving the Albuquerque area. Matheson was selected as the permanent leader of the organization, which focuses on driving economic growth and regional opportunity.
Illinois – Zeke Jackson has been selected as the next city manager for the city of Rochelle. Jackson brings local government leadership experience, having most recently served communities in Sister Bay and Waterford, Wisconsin. He holds a master of public administration and is a credentialed ICMA city manager. Jackson is expected to begin his new role on June 8.
Iowa – Brent Hinson has been appointed as the next assistant city manager for the city of Ankeny. Hinson currently serves as deputy city administrator in Mason City and brings more than 23 years of local government experience across Iowa. He will begin his new role on June 22, where he will support daily operations and advance city priorities.
Massachusetts – Brendan Sweeney has been selected as the next town manager for Ipswich following a unanimous Select Board vote. Sweeney currently serves as assistant town administrator and finance director in Boxford, where he has worked for nearly four years. He also previously served on the Beverly City Council from 2022 to 2025.
Wisconsin – Caz Muske has been selected as the next city manager for the city of Platteville. Muske currently serves as city administrator of Clintonville, a role she has held since 2021, and previously served as deputy city administrator and public works director. She will begin her new role on June 8 following approval by the Common Council.
