Victoria taps new deputy city manager
June Ellis is the new deputy city manager for Victoria.
Ellis has 30 years of municipal government experience, most recently serving as assistant city manager in Beaumont. In Victoria, Ellis will oversee the police and fire departments, municipal court and human resources.
Wichita Falls names next chief of police
Capt. Jonathan Lindsey has been promoted to Wichita Falls police chief.
Lindsey, who joined the Wichita Falls Police Department in 2001, will be the 23rd chief of police in the city’s history. During his time with the agency, he’s worked in a variety of divisions including patrol, the gang task force and SWAT.
Brazoria County exec takes role with city of Manvel
Jaclyn George is Manvel’s new assistant city manager.
George most recently served as chief administrator for Brazoria County Precinct 2, where she oversaw executive operations. She has 20 years of local government experience.
