Ramiro Zuniga

Ramiro Zuniga, PHD, has more than 30 years of experience in K-12 school districts. With a focus on information technology, he is gifted with extensive knowledge and experience in solutions implementation, data migration, project management, state reporting, RFP development and evaluation, procurement, staff development, team development, streamlined protocol development, and long-range technology planning. His background and knowledge will be invaluable to the Strategic Partnerships team.

Dr. Zuniga rose to various leadership positions with a number of public-school districts. The positions he held include chief of technology, director of technology, and senior executive director for information technology.

Additionally, he taught graduate-level courses at The University of Texas-Pan American and has served on several post-secondary academic advisory committees. Dr. Zuniga has been involved with numerous professional organizations, including serving as president and vice-president for a national group that included memberships from more than 60 public school districts.

Dr. Zuniga holds a degree of Associate of Applied Science in industrial data processing technology from Texas State Technical Institute and a Bachelor of Business Administration in computer information systems from the University of Texas-Pan American. He also holds a Master of Education in instructional technology from The University of Texas – Brownsville and an Educational Doctorate in educational leadership from The University of Texas-Pan American, Edinburg, Texas.
