Mario Espinoza brings decades of senior-level experience with Texas governmental and intergovernmental executive agencies to the consulting team at Strategic Partnerships. He joins the team as an expert in the areas of transportation, water resources, energy, construction projects and oversight of large public initiatives.
Most recently, Mario served as the Deputy Executive Director of the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA). Along with other executive duties he was engaged in the planning, development and implementation of the region’s much needed mobility projects. He also had direct oversight of the organization’s communications, public involvement, community outreach, and toll operations.
Prior to his work with the CTRMA, Mario worked with the Lower Colorado River Authority and honed his expertise in water and water resource management. Having served in several positions in the City of Austin, including Austin Energy and the office of the City Manager, Mario became knowledgeable about problems public officials at the municipal levels of government.
Mario holds both an MBA and a Master of Public Affairs from The University of Texas at Austin. He has a BBA from Texas State University in San Marcos.
Now, serving in the private sector, Mario is still very involved in community service and holds numerous leadership positions. He previously chaired the City of Austin’s Water and Wastewater Commission
