In her earlier career she worked as a Legislative Research Associate and for the Texas Nuclear Alliance assisting with operation.
Mackenzie graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Sciences from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Management at Johns Hopkins University.
