Leonard Olson began his nearly 30-year public service career with the Texas Water Development Board. During his time with the agency, he held a variety of positions, developing strong relationships and a broad understanding of both state and local government. Leonard was director of support services, special assistant to the executive administrator, and deputy executive administrator for administration and governmental relations.
Leonard later spent four years with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, serving the agency as director of intergovernmental relations. Over his career, he has developed expertise in both environmental and regulatory matters.
Leonard holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Jacksonville University, Florida.
