Lauren Flathouse is a consulting partner with Strategic Partnerships, Inc. with multidisciplinary experience spanning government, law, healthcare, and education. She brings a practical, governance-focused lens to complex organizations operating in regulated and public-facing environments.

Lauren previously served as an advisor in county government, working alongside elected officials, department leadership, and legal counsel to support infrastructure initiatives, stakeholder engagement, public communications, and cross-departmental coordination. Her work required navigating political realities, regulatory requirements, and community expectations while maintaining operational clarity and accountability.

As a licensed attorney and former law firm owner, Lauren developed deep expertise in risk mitigation, contract analysis, compliance considerations, and executive advisory. She understands how governance decisions translate into operational consequences and helps leadership teams align strategy with implementation.

Earlier in her career, Lauren worked in pharmaceutical sales, partnering with physicians and healthcare administrators in highly regulated clinical environments. This experience strengthened her understanding of healthcare systems, compliance frameworks, and data-driven decision-making. She also served as a classroom teacher and adjunct professor, developing instructional leadership skills and a strong ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively.

Lauren’s breadth of experience allows her to assess organizational challenges from multiple angles, legal, operational, political, and human. She is particularly effective in supporting boards, executive leaders, and cross-functional teams as they work to clarify roles, strengthen governance structures, and improve execution.

Lauren earned her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston and holds a Bachelor of Science in Leadership Development from Texas A&M University.
