Julius McIntyre Jr. has joined the Strategic Partnerships Team as a Research Analyst. He previously served as a graduate intern with a county commissioner at the Travis County Commissioners Court, where he conducted policy research and prepared strategy memoranda on juvenile justice, long-term public investment, water quality, sustainability initiatives, and interlocal government coordination. Julius also worked under a councilmember with the Columbus City Council, supporting legislative and policy research on economic development, appropriations and small minority and women business enterprise initiatives while assisting with policy recommendations, briefing materials, and community engagement efforts.
Julius earned his Bachelor of Science in Sociology from The Ohio State University with a specialization in social inequalities. He holds a Master of Public Affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin), along with a Dean’s Certificate for Data Science and Policy Analysis. While at UT Austin, Julius served as a graduate teaching assistant, leading instruction in statistical research methods, introductory R programming, and quantitative analysis. He also completed graduate course research focused on disaster response systems, college student housing affordability, and prison reform strategies.
