SPI Research Analyst John “JT” Stratigopoulos has worked in both the public and private sectors. He has a background in public affairs doing qualitative research and is a seasoned communicator. He understands the differences in the cultures and has proven that he can communicate well in both environments. He also understands collaboration and has experience in launching successful public and private sector efforts.
Most recently, JT Stratigopoulos served in a legislative role as a policy analyst for a state Senator. He also conducted legislative research, dealt with constituents, and attended and reported on commission and committee meetings. JT’s experience in writing, copy editing and conducting long-term research projects has uniquely prepared him for developing high quality research and briefing materials with a consistently quick turnaround, making him a valuable addition to SPI’s Research and Information division.
JT holds a bachelor’s degree in writing with a minor in communications from Texas Christian University and a master’s degree in public affairs from the Leo T. McCarthy Center for Public Service and the Common Good, University of San Francisco.
