J.L. Wilson is president of an Oregon-based public affairs firm and a leading provider of government affairs, lobbying and campaign management services since 1980. He has worked for 28 years in the Oregon political process, including 25 years as a lobbyist and public affairs professional.
Prior to acquiring the leading research firm in 2014, Wilson had a 15-year history working in Oregon’s leading business and trade associations, including 8 years as the senior VP of government affairs for Oregon Business & Industry, the state chamber of commerce.
J.L.’s entrée into Oregon politics started in the Oregon Legislature, where he served as the legislative director for two Speakers of the Oregon House.
In addition to lobbying and government affairs, he owns a leading provider of survey research and polling services for industry groups, school districts and local governments across Oregon.
He also owns a creative branding and marketing agency with offices in Oregon and Nebraska.
J.L. graduated from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, with a degree in economics. He and his wife Heather have five children and reside on their vineyard in Oregon’s wine country northwest of Salem.
