Dr. Bruce Wood has years of experience, both public and private, gained from his service as a county judge, superintendent of schools, university professor, and an economic development leader.
Dr. Wood served as county judge for Kaufman County for two terms and as superintendent of schools in Terrell for 13 years and Kaufman for seven years. He also has been a civic leader serving as chair of the Terrell Economic Development Corporation. Dr. Wood was on the executive board of the North Central Texas Council of Governments.
Additionally, Dr. Wood has taught graduate level classes as an adjunct professor at the University of North Texas, Texas A&M University in Commerce and Dallas Baptist University. Before retiring, he also served as senior partner at Horn, Smith, Wood and Preston LLC.
