SPI consultant Adan Munoz, Jr. is an expert in state and local law enforcement and criminal justice, and has dedicated over 30 years of his career to public service. He has both experience and a keen insider’s perspective when it comes to developing strategy or competing for government business.
Adan’s public sector career includes working at the City of Kingsville and the City of Corpus Christi, both as an investigator and police officer. In addition to his police work, Adan was selected to be the chief administrator for Kleberg County Sheriff’s Office, and became the county’s first Hispanic sheriff.
Adan also worked in the Office of the Governor and the Attorney General. He is a former governor appointed commissioner to the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards, and served as executive director in the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, and for the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division. Adan has a unique understanding of law enforcement agencies, civil processes, jail and special task force administrations, grant funding, finance and budgeting, human resources, public works, police services and public safety.
Adan attended Texas A&M University at Kingsville, and pursued a business administration degree in criminal justice.
