Brad Lancaster

Dr. Brad Lancaster has impressive credentials in the world of education.  He has counseled state leaders, overseen the success of several school districts, and amassed numerous awards and honors during his 37-year career in education. 

Brad most recently served as superintendent of schools for the fast-growing Lake Travis ISD (LTISD) where he was responsible for the instruction and care of 11,500 students. Other district accomplishments during his tenure were the overwhelming passage of a $253 million bond election by 74 percent and tax ratification election by 71 percent. 

The district also was one of 23 school districts selected by the Commissioner of Education to participate in the Texas High Performance Schools Consortium and was awarded first place in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Lone Star Cup in 2012. 

Prior to joining LTISD, Brad was superintendent of schools at Midway ISD which passed a $75.8 million bond election during his tenure. He also was an assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction at both Allen and Ennis ISDs and a principal at College Station ISD. 

Brad is a member of the Lt. Governor’s Superintendent Advisory Council, Texas Association of School Administrators, Texas Association of School Boards, and Texas Association of Sub-Urban and Middle Urban Schools. 

He also has served on the Texas Education Agency (TEA) Commissioner’s Cabinet of Superintendents and the Texas Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development state board of directors. 

In addition to leading the Fast Growth School Coalition and the Texas Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development as president, Brad also held positions related to legislative and administrative services committees for the Texas Association of School Administrators and Dean’s Advisory Council for the School of Education at Baylor University. The Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce named him Citizen of the Year, and the Midway ISD Council of PTA recognized him with an Honorary Life Membership to the national PTA organization.
