Sherman TX

August 22, 2025

The city of Sherman, Texas is in line for a new medical campus with services to expand healthcare access and accommodate emerging community and public needs.

The Community Hospital Corporation (CHC) has announced that it will build a $400 million state-of-the-art medical center in Sherman with construction slated for 2026.

The facility – known as the Heritage Regional Medical Center (HRMC) – will be a modern acute care hospital containing 100 inpatient beds. The project will plan the infrastructure to accommodate expansion for all major departments at a later date, including surgery, imaging, emergency and outpatient services. Expansion would provide enough capacity for up to 200 additional beds.

The nonprofit hospital will be a pivotal change for the region, providing critical medical services to address the city’s immediate needs, as well as surrounding communities and Southern Oklahoma. HRMC will seamlessly integrate advanced technology as a focal point for its service, bolstering the facility’s commitment to quality care and thoughtful design.

As a milestone in regional healthcare, HRMC will offer cutting-edge medical service dedicated to heightening the level of service typically seen in a medical setting. The facility will be staffed with physicians, technicians, pharmacists and nurses, according to CHC officials.

The hospital will be located near the Heritage Ranch Master Planned Community, adjacent to the intersection of Highway 82 and FM 1417.
