Arizona – Mario Paniagua has been selected as the next town manager for Gilbert following a national search process conducted by the Gilbert Town Council. A former U.S. Air Force staff sergeant, he brings more than 35 years of government experience and will officially assume the role June 1.

South Carolina – Dr. Melissa Frank-Alston has been appointed the seventh president of Northeastern Technical College following a national search and will officially assume the role July 1. She brings 30 years of higher education leadership experience and becomes the first woman to serve as president in NETC history.

North Carolina – Tim Corley has been appointed county manager for Beaufort County. Corley currently serves on the Pitt County Government senior leadership team. He will begin his new role June 1 and succeeds County Manager Brian Alligood, who is retiring at the end of the fiscal year.

Washington – Stephanie Lucash has been appointed city administrator for the city of Edmonds following approval by the Edmonds City Council. In her new role, she will oversee day-to-day city operations and support implementation of Mayor Mike Rosen’s administrative priorities.

Arizona – Katie Gregory has been selected as the next chief financial officer for the city of Phoenix. Gregory currently serves as assistant city manager for the city of Avondale. She will begin the role June 15 and will lead the city’s financial strategy, capital planning and fiscal sustainability initiatives.

Michigan – Thomas Markus has been appointed city manager for the city of Royal Oak. Markus brings more than 40 years of municipal leadership experience and most recently served as city manager for the city of Birmingham. He is expected to begin the role around May 20 as Royal Oak advances infrastructure, redevelopment and organizational initiatives.

California – Christopher Boatman has been appointed city manager for the city of Beaumont. Boatman most recently served as assistant city manager for the city of Redlands. In his new role, he will oversee all city departments and guide operations in alignment with city council priorities and long-term growth initiatives.

Tennessee – David Johnson has been selected as the next administrator of Chattanooga’s Parks and Outdoors Department. Johnson most recently served as Tennessee Parks and Schoolyards program manager for the Trust for Public Land. In his new role, he will oversee parks operations, outdoor recreation initiatives and completion of the Walnut Street Bridge renovation project.
