Arizona – Dan Henderson has been selected as economic development director for the city of Glendale. Henderson brings extensive experience in economic development and previously held leadership roles supporting business attraction and retention. In his new role, he will lead strategic growth initiatives, investment attraction and economic expansion efforts for the city.
Ohio – Ravi V. Bellamkonda has been appointed as the 18th president of The Ohio State University by the university’s Board of Trustees. Bellamkonda previously served as executive vice president and provost at Rutgers University and held leadership roles at Duke University. In his new position, he will oversee academic, research, and administrative operations at one of the nation’s largest public universities.
Michigan – Dr. Lori M. Gonko has been named incoming president of Macomb Community College by the college’s Board of Trustees, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026. Gonko currently serves as interim president of Henry Ford College and previously held senior academic leadership roles. In her new role, she will lead institutional strategy, academic programs and operations for one of Michigan’s largest community colleges.
Iowa – Dr. Lori Suddick has been appointed as president of Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) following a special board meeting. Suddick brings extensive experience in community college leadership and previously served as president of North Iowa Area Community College. In her new role, she will lead academic programs, workforce initiatives and institutional strategy for one of Iowa’s largest community colleges.
New Mexico – Jose Coll has been named the 16th president of Western New Mexico University by the university’s Board of Regents. Coll previously served in academic leadership roles within the institution and brings experience in higher education administration. In his new role, he will lead the university’s academic and operational functions following a period of transition and state oversight.
Georgia – Marcus Haynes has been appointed as fire chief for the city of Valdosta. Haynes brings extensive experience in fire service leadership and public safety operations. In his new role, he will lead the Valdosta Fire Department, overseeing emergency response, personnel and strategic initiatives to support the city’s growing community.
California – Yvonne Kimball has been appointed as city manager for the city of Williams. Kimball brings more than 20 years of executive experience in local government, having previously served in senior leadership roles in municipal administration. In her new position, she will oversee city operations, budgeting and long-term strategic planning.
California – Michael Sinor has been appointed as chief information officer and information technology director for the city of Mountain View. Sinor brings more than 26 years of experience in information technology leadership and previously held senior roles in municipal and public sector IT. In his new role, he will oversee the city’s technology infrastructure, cybersecurity and digital services strategy.
