The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) has released an interactive dashboard providing Texas with greater accessibility to the latest economic and demographic data.
The TexStats Regional Data Dashboard features data from state, county and regional levels and compiles them into a central, intuitive site. Users can browse categories ranging from population growth and job trends to education levels, industry strength, trade activity and healthcare access.
The CPA draws from reliable sources to inform both residents and state leaders, including the U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. With its publication, all users now have the most current, reliable information at their fingertips. The dashboard will be able to browse data from up to 10 years ago to compare changes and trends over time.
The digitalization and consolidation of this type of information break down barriers that previously impeded efforts to research certain census and industry statistics. Before the dashboard, most of the available information could exclusively be found in separate printed or online reports provided by the CPA. Users may now easily filter, customize and download data as needed.
