Overview

Strategic Partnerships, Inc. (SPI) is a national full-service, public sector focused consulting and research firm based in Austin, Texas. The company specializes in government procurement consulting, business development, governmental affairs and customized research. SPI is recognized as a pioneer in the business of partnering public and private entities for commercial purposes.

SPI’s Senior Consultants lead the client account teams. Each Senior Consultant is responsible for overseeing the overall efforts for several clients. The entire SPI Team assists with all client activities but Senior Consultants and Managing Consultants oversee the daily operations of client services.

This is a full-time, in-house position at Strategic Partnerships, Inc.’s Office (No Exceptions).

Work Hours and Location:

  • 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday
  • 7500 Rialto Blvd., Austin, Texas 78735

Compensation from $100,000 annually based on experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all clients of SPI.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership when driving team delivery and obtaining results. Includes driving discussions and outcomes leveraging command skills, business intelligence, communication outreach, and overseeing consulting partners.
  • Provide strategic direction and support to align with the objectives of each client team.
  • Supervise internal and external resources to implement strategies designed to meet clients’ objectives.
  • Prepare and implement an action plan in line with contractual commitments to clients.
  • Lead internal and external client strategy sessions.
  • Communicate and build relationships with clients on an ongoing basis via calls, reporting, in-house visits, and emails.
  • Review and approve client status reports. All reports must show forward progress aligned to KPIs (meetings, research, strategy, opportunity pursuits, etc.).
  • Deliver strong results via client satisfaction, retention.
  • Contribute to the development of other consultants and researchers by mentoring, educating and encouraging strong bonds with other team members.
  • Introduce clients to key public sector decision-makers and communicate with public sector representatives, decision-makers, legislators, etc. to identify opportunities and support client needs.

PREFERRED TRAITS AND EDUCATION

  •  Graduation from an accredited 4-year college or university.
  • 8-10 years’ experience in selling to the public sector and/or executive level experience in the public sector or government affairs.
  • Expert ability to develop, communicate, drive, and deliver strategic initiatives.
  • Expert account/program management skills.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership ability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and execute process improvements.
  • Strong commitment to high quality client service and consistent quality outputs.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and time-management skills.
  • Friendly, team-oriented, and self-motivated traits.
