A long-trusted confidante of politicians and government officials for more than 25 years, SPI Consultant Shirley Little has had an insider’s view of government that is rare. Her experience includes working with local governments in numerous capacities, and she has just as much experience working with companies of all sizes.
Shirley honed her public-sector skills throughout a 28-year career with the city of Fort Worth as chief of staff to four different mayors. During that time, she also was responsible for oversight of the Government Relations/ Legislative Affairs Division and the Public Affairs/Media Relations Division.
Her nearly three decades of work with and for the city allowed her opportunities to work closely with local, state and federal government officials as well as local business leaders. She was successful in numerous collaborative endeavors with big-city mayors and she worked closely with local administrative and elected officials in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Shirley is experienced in both state and federal legislative issues. In addition to her government career, she has worked in community efforts in areas such as public health and higher education.
Shirley is a magna cum laude graduate of Dallas Baptist University where she earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in business administration and management and a master’s degree in organizational behavior and management.
