John Key further enhances the deep qualifications of SPI’s public education team. He most recently served as the superintendent for Groesbeck ISD, where he led initiatives relating to curriculum alignment, technology upgrades and facility planning. Prior to that position, John served as the superintendent for Grapeland ISD and Palmer ISD where he focused on financial and academic compliance issues as well as community relations and facility matters. During his long career in public education, he has also served as a principal, assistant principal and teacher. John has numerous awards and honors to his credit and has been active throughout his career in educational associations and committees. John holds a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University, a master’s degree from Prairie View A&M and has done doctoral work at Texas A&M.
