SPI hosts two highly successful local workshops

In addition to hearing from SPI's team of government-experienced professionals, those attending the workshops also benefited from the insight of former Houston City Council member Carol Alvarado, who drew on her experiences on the council to explain the ins and outs of city government as well as offering commentary on upcoming contracting opportunities in the Houston area.
While this week's workshops were geared toward account executives, government contractors and members of sales teams, SPI already has two more workshops scheduled for September and October. These workshops are targeted toward public sector program managers, contract and legal officials, procurement staff and others who interact with contractors. The one-day workshops, "Navigating Distant Cultures - Charting a Course to Better Procurements," are slated from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23, and Wednesday, Oct. 1.
