New items added to state sales tax-free holiday

Clothing exempted from sales tax during the three-day holiday include dresses, trousers, blouses, shirts, diapers, cowboy boots, hooded sweatshirts, hosiery, robes, pajamas, underwear, shorts, raincoats, jeans and jogging apparel.

Clothing items that are not exempt and will be taxed include accessories such as barrettes, wallets, belt buckles, handbags, handkerchiefs, jewelry, work boots, waders and bicycle helmets.
