State unveils strategic plan for information technology

Rawson said that the vendor community should become thoroughly familiar with the plan because it provides for the most effective, efficient information technology supply chain. Improving the customer experience in dealing with DIR is an integral part of the plan.

"Any tech vendor currently conducting business with the state or interested in conducting business with the state needs this plan. This is how we intend to develop technology in state government. Our vendors will be part of this process. They need to consume and understand the technology direction for the next five years," Rawson said.
