- Rebid of the TEX-AN contract - This contract with the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) will expire in August 2009. TEX-AN is the state's comprehensive telecommunication services contract. There will be numerous pieces within this opportunity - such as telephony, data, video, collaboration, wireless, security, interoperability, local- and wide-area network management, interactive voice response and call center services.
- HHSC smart card - This is a first-time bid for the HHSC Medicaid access card issued by a vendor on behalf of the agency. This project will provide primary Medicaid identification for beneficiaries of the program and is schedule to be awarded by the end of the year.
- Rebid of the TexasOnline contract - TexasOnline is the state's official Web site that provides access to state and local government agencies. The rebid for the state's Web portal will include operating the Web site and the underlying payment/transaction system for eGovernment for those who buy or pay for goods or services online.
- HHSC eligibility support, document processing contracts - These two projects are part of a system that makes eligibility determinations for HHSC programs. The successful bidders will operate mail centers, call centers, imaging systems and facilitate the processing of applications for HHSC services and programs. This program is awaiting federal approval and a bid could be out within 60 days.
- HHSC data warehouse - This project is pending federal approval before a bid is released. The successful bidder will develop an enterprise-wide data warehouse across all HHSC programs and agencies. The project will include the storing of data for all transaction processing systems into a comprehensive database of current and historical information about all HHSC programs.
These are just some of the many contracting opportunities that will be available with the state. The Texas government sector is one of the most attractive markets in the country….and definitely one of the most lucrative.
