Spencer McClure

Spencer McClure brings to SPI more than 35 years of broad executive management, governmental relations and consulting experience in the public and private sectors, including with a private multi-faceted state-level trade association, executive management positions at the state agency level, and extensive legislative experience at the local, state and national level.

His state government experience includes having served in a number of positions with the then-Texas Department of Mental Health and Retardation, including as assistant deputy commissioner. Spencer also performed consulting work with the Texas Commissioner of Health and Human Services. His specialty in healthcare consulting is behavioral health care and health care systems.

Spencer earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The University of Texas at Austin and attended Baylor School of Law.
