Lois Cunningham

Dr. Lois Cunningham's public education expertise spans more than 40 years, from beginning her education career as a public school teacher in Washington, D.C., to Department Chair with the Alief ISD and Education Specialist with one of the state's Education Service Centers. She also is a Master Industrial Trainer with the National Center for Construction Education and Research.

Among her many skills related to public education are strategic planning and communications. Her long education career has given her insight into the education field from the inside out, from teacher to administrator. She counsels school district officials on organizational climate, promoting positive relations with diverse populations, communications, focus on detail, monitoring and supervising staff and budgeting and accounting of fiscal resources.

Lois holds a bachelor's degree from Virginia State College and a master's and Ph.D. from Texas Southern University. She holds mid-management certification and superintendency certification from Texas Southern University.
