Kathleen Costello

Kathleen M. Costello, a Certified Project Management Professional, has spent her career developing extensive knowledge of IT management, as evidenced by her work at the University of Texas' Center for Lifelong Engineering Education as a mentor and instructor. She serves the SPI team as a research analyst.

Kathleen graduated from the University of South Florida and received training from the University of Texas Software Project Management Program. She has served a myriad of state agencies with responsibility for information systems, including the Texas Health and Human Services Commission , the Texas Department of Human Services, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, the Texas Education Agency, the Texas Lottery Commission, the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and the Office of the Attorney General. She has led private vendors assisting state agencies with managing important IT projects.
