Johnny Clawson

Johnny Clawson joins SPI after serving for more than a decade as the superintendent of San Saba ISD. Prior to this position, he served as both the assistant principal and principal of Fredericksburg High School. A life-long educator, Johnny began his career as a middle school teacher and taught at a number of junior high and high schools in Central and West Texas prior to entering the executive ranks. He has been active throughout his career in a number of educational associations and has served as the Region XV Study Group Chairman and as a member of the Texas Association of School Administrators' Legislative Committee. Johnny is also active in a number of community organizations in the San Saba area. He holds a bachelor's and master's degree from Angelo State University and has pursued post-graduate work at Texas A&M.
