Public policy veteran Amy Spiro has affiliated with Strategic Partnerships, Inc. as a Senior Consultant. Amy's expertise provides clients a resource for grant writing, proposal development, market analysis, and a range of other services.
Amy is a public policy and communications consultant with nearly 10 years of public and private sector experience. She specializes in public policy research, communications, and grant writing. Most recently, Amy has conducted research and writing projects for clients including the Children's Defense Fund of Texas, the Mental Health Association of Texas, TIP Strategies (an economic development firm), and the Seton Healthcare Network.
Previously, Amy was a Senior Consultant at MGT of America, a national public policy research and consulting firm. During her years at MGT, Amy helped write proposals for both public and private sector clients, generating new business for the firm. She also developed an expertise in public policy research, market research, program evaluation, and collateral material development. She consulted with a wide range of organizations, including the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation, Public Strategies, Inc., the Austin Public Education Foundation, the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, the Texas School Alliance, the U.S./Mexico Border Counties Coalition, the City of San Antonio, and the Edwards Aquifer Authority.
Before entering the private sector, Amy served as a Senior Policy Analyst for the Senate Economic Development Committee for nearly five years. At the Texas Senate, she authored three published reports on state and local economic development, tax incentives, workforce, and business climate issues. Amy was also responsible for analyzing legislation pending before the committee, drafting bills and amendments, preparing briefing materials, and staffing the Senate Border Affairs Committee, the Senate Intergovernmental Relations Committee, and the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission.
Amy graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington with Honors and earned a Master of Arts in Government from the University of Texas.
