Alex Meade has worked closely with city, county and state government through his previous position as Business Development Manager for the Harlingen Area Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Department. In that capacity, he performed fact-finding, research and analysis relative to economic development and worked closely with city and county officials, resulting in established relationships throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
Alex has participated in projects relating to outsourcing and privatization through his work at both the local and state levels of government. He is familiar with state government processes and procedures as well as procurement, having served for a member of the Texas Legislature.
In 2008, Alex was appointed by Gov. Rick Perry to the Advisory Board of Economic Development Stakeholders, which assists the Texas Department of Economic Development by collecting and disseminating information on federal, state, local and private community economic development programs, including loans, grants and other funding sources.
Alex is a graduate of the University of Texas at Brownsville, where he earned his MBA, and St. Edward's University, where he earned a BBA in economics.
